Did anyone else get charged $15 for the game? or is that just me? Either way this game was one of my favorites growing up whenever i had access to my dad’s computer. Good times…

Been playing this game off and on over the past 15 years. Played the original on the PC and didn’t hesitate to acquire the ported version on the iPhone when it was released. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is because I vividly remember having more fun when I played it for the first time on the PC. There were more features with the new items that were introduced for each map and region. They DO give you new items on this version but it just isn’t the same when I played this on the PC. All in all, this is a fun game to help kill time and it brings back memories from when I first played it. Not as good as the original but it gets the job done. 👍

It’s fun as the computer version just not as many levels?I don’t remember if the pc version had more but it took me 3 days max to beat it , really sad because it is really fun

If anyone can figure out how to get past flintlock in gray wastes let me know. It is out of range of everything.

Some of the levels the castle is too far away for ANY ammo to reach.

I’m seeing a lot of poor reviews for this game, really nit picking the features. First of all, let’s be honest. Most mobile ports of just about any game, computer or console, have piss poor controls and limited features. Also, every level in this game is completely possible to achieve a gold metal if you put your mind to it. Sometimes you just have to go for silver and then come back after you’ve completed the entire island and gotten all the possible projectiles. People also seem to be melding together Crush the Castle 1 and 2. This game keeps the levels similar to 1, but steals some of the projectiles from 2. You can’t expect it to have every single detail from both games. It’s a tiny, compressed mobile game. I paid for this game years ago and redownload it every time I’m in the mood to play it, and every time I am not disappointed. My fuel? Nostalgia. Who cares if you can’t mute the game, or can’t 100% every castle easily, or can’t zoom out? It’s doesn’t matter. The whole point of this port is so that millions of people can relive a childhood experience, and many have lost sight of that. The reason that there have been no recent updates is because this game is already perfect for what it set out to achieve. Nostalgia, childhood reflection, and a fun escape from everyday life.

On skull island in grey waste, the left most level is not possible to beat. I have been stuck on this level for some time now. The castle is too far to reach. I have tried every type of ammunition available although it is physically impossible to reach the targets. If anyone can help please let me know

Either the rose tinted glasses were darker than i thought or they messed up some things in the port because its not as good as I remember. The upsides are the fun and quirky variety or throwables and how some are satisfying… but thats if they work right. For example, one mission required pinpoint precision with a firebomb to set the wood in the castle on fire to be a one shot, but it didn’t spread to everything for some reason making me do the difficult shot again and only on the third time did it spread properly. Another was where i had to launch a block at a castle using a well placed bomb, but the block hit the ground like it was magnetic and lost all momentum making me do the hard shot again. All this precise work with a funky trebuchet just to have your amazing shot be worthless really killed the fun of some creative levels. Its a bit of old school fun but not worth the money.

Defeated every level in 1 shot it took me ages. Wish more games like this were made today I miss the days of games like this

Sometimes very entertaining, but often frustrating because of lack of zoom control and unreasonable firing mechanic. On some of the castles the precision of targeting required is beyond the ability of the firing mechanic to support, and with the lack of zoom, the game often becomes simply a game of chance.

So i see lots of people saying “tHiS iS aNgY bIrB rIp off” this game came out first so angry birds is the ripoff

Not much to say but this physics game pre-dates Angry Birds. It's still a fun game to waste some time that doesn't have flashy graphics or consumes more battery. Still 5 stars.

Hear!Hear! How did I not know about this game until just recently! Yes it’s somewhat rudimentary and a bit short... but the gameplay is highly addictive and a tremendous amount of fun. The trebuchet action is brilliantly done, giving you a real sense of control over the launch of wonderfully imaginative and crazy projectiles! The ability to create your own “castles” is a great touch... I’ve had just as much fun with that feature as I had blasting my way to Gold on every level! Bravo!

I know this sounds simple but when I’m listening to a podcast my intended goal for some free time I can’t. I want to be able to play the mindless game to keep my thoughts on a podcast or audio book but I can’t turn the sound off. Please update this because I love the game from playing when I was a kid.

It’s a simple and cheap download, so can’t complain about much. I just find it ridiculous how there is no option to turn off the sounds. I want to listen to music or a podcast while I play and not the boring basic background music.

Abysmal. Half the time it’s luck whether or not you kill a guy. And some levels are almost impossible. Avoid this app

I like the old version better. Because I finished it, all it needed was more levels. This game does that perfectly. Although I don’t like the power downgrade of the bombs and the vortex, it is minor and actually does make the game more challenging. The only reason for 1 star is unlike the old game, not having the ability to carryover and use previously unlocked weapons and bombs to every region ruins the game for me.

Many of the levels seem pretty haphazardly put together. Almost as though they tested them with late game unlocks rather than section appropriate items.

If you’re like me, who played the flash version of this game years ago, possible in school? Maybe at work for others. This was one of my favorite flash games and when I saw that there was a mobile port of it I knew I wanted it eventually, and so I got it. It is quite fun, some challenging levels but not many. My only real problem with the game is that it doesn’t contain the original levels (maybe a few are from the original game, but the artwork remains the same which is nice) and I feel the weapons you can use have been tweaked or just don’t feel as powerful as the flash version of the game. In the original game, I liked that every new region you’d be introduced by some weapon smith giving you a new item to use, which is absent in this game. You do get new items, not in the same order as the original version. All in all, it’s decent, it contains the original Artwork, while giving some newer graphical changes, such as to the items you use against castles. I however wish there was more levels, I went for gold as I went along as when I finished all levels I had nothing further to do, and the “Editor” is very weird to use, at least for me. It’s hard to even things out.

How do I tell what level I’m on so I can get tips???

Trash game. Can’t turn off that god awful music... game mechanics are stupid.

Fun but you can’t use all your collected weapons in all the areas. There is one castle in particular that can’t be beat with a single throw. If I could use weapons from other conquests, it wouldn’t be an issue. It seems the older version would allow it but not this version. I want to be able to use any of my earned weapons on ANY castle.

Like more people like farmer,wizard,or a peasant More building blocks to play with to like campfires so if wood hits it the wood would burn, and more types of wood Maybe some other stuff but that’s all I have for now Thank you for reading please add this or suggest.

This is the game if you want to simply throw projectiles at block castles. The different types of projectiles and blocks are easy to figure out, so it comes down to strategy and aim rather than pay-to-play special items with weird effects. The graphics are great (minus some silly optional prize skins), like real blocks and soldier figurines. Miles above the alleged “crush the castle siege master” game that stole its name.

That is all.

Only reason I’m giving it 4 Stars is because this game deserves to be updated to fit the IPhone X Screen. Please Update? Other than that. Seeing that this game was in the App Store made me happy!

Just downloaded this game looking for something fun to play on long drives. I remember playing this game on the computer as a kid so my hopes were high. Just starting out I was disappointed. The game doesnt allow you to zoom out to see the entire field. Leaving you firing blind. I don’t remember if that was the same for the computer but with all games (angry birds as example) you are able to zoom out and aim. Not being able to and wanting to have a good score leaves my constantly restarting. That is my second issue, the restart button. For being one of the main options it is way to small. It may seem like I’m nitpicking, but I would expect more from a game that cost money compared to a game like siege master that is free and doesn’t have these issues.

Love this game, the humor in there voices when you crash a castle. Love it

No updates..... why waste the time

Love this game! Addictive and puzzling at times. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is it needs more levels and types of ammo. Come on updates! 🙂

Love the game. I’ve loved it since it was a free miniclip game back probably almost 10 years ago, but there’s no mute option on the music or sound effects, and that reaaaally kills it for me

A lot more challenging than the browser version and a lot more satisfying. It ain't bad.

With upgrade my app no longer works except on unit I will not upgrade. I found your new game now I have to start over again and apparently LOST my prior purchase to upgrade this prior app. One problem is only I paid for extra games then block from using it.

This game used to be great but it is now so glitchy that it locks up your phone. Do not download.

Seriously? How is there not an option to turn off the music and/or sound? It’s ridiculous and made it so I don’t even bother playing the game.

I like this game a lot but I think there’s not enough levels, there is only three lands to play in and I finished the entire game in less than one week...make more levels pls.

CtC was what Angry Birds copied, but it doesn't mean this is a great game. You'll have fun for the first few days, but only the first two major worlds are playable. The very last one is quite literally impossible. Don't download this looking to 100% it. You will not.

Great game! Way better than Angry Birds. You actually get a good value here, and there’s no In App purchases.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??????? I had no idea this updated until now!! This is THE game that inspired Angry Birds! Before iOS gaming was around, Kongregate and New Grounds where the places to play all the best Flash Based Indie Games. Fun and simple games that were challenging, but didn’t require you to devote your life to in order to enjoy them! Super excited to have CtC on my 8 Plus!!

The look has transferred over from the browser version, but that’s it. The mechanics don’t work as well and the projectiles don’t work as good as before(minus the boulders). The vortex bottle doesn’t have hardly any lift. You’re lucky if it flings a small piece of wood or a person, all other objects remain stationary for the most part. The trebuchet doesn’t work as good either. Not only does the backswing not work, but the forward swing has no accuracy. This game needs serious work before any extra features are made.

I can’t believe there isn’t an option to turn off sound. Makes the game unplayable for me.

Makes this otherwise great game a pain in the nether regions.

This is one of the original games I downloaded when I first got my iPhone. Years ago. They have updated it and it is still a great game to play. My kids love it too!

It's just not worth it. The game has numerous features that bother me

I’m glad to see this still being a top chart game i played this about 6 years ago on my iPod 2 and i can tell that the developers changed a lot sense the last time I played it is really nice to see one of my childhood favorite games hasn’t died yet

Played this game a lot as a younger me and got reminded of it when I was told angry birds is a rip off of crush the castle the memories of playing this game came right back to me

This game is dopeeeee. You should add more levels though. I’m a returning customer since the beginning, but I downloaded the game again yesterday and I just now beat. It’s definitely challenging though.

This game is unplayable. It really sticks. I can’t believe I downloaded it.
